The Girls Inc. of Delaware Alumna of the Year Award recognizes a former Girls Inc. of Delaware participant whose life and work demonstrate the lasting power of the Girls Inc. mission — empowering girls and women to be strong, smart, and bold. This award celebrates an alumna who continues to lead with integrity, uplift others, and make a meaningful impact in her community and beyond.
Nomination Criteria — What We’re Looking For?
Alumna’s Background
Alumna’s full name and contact information (must be a former Girls Inc. of Delaware participant)
How she was involved with Girls Inc. (programs, years, roles)
Leadership & Achievement
Describe how the nominee demonstrates leadership in her community, profession, or area of influence.
Examples include:
-Leading teams, initiatives, or programs
-Professional accomplishments that show vision or excellence
Impact on Others & Community
Explain how the nominee has positively influenced others or contributed to her community through service, mentorship, advocacy, or innovative work.
Include examples of:
-Service projects, volunteerism
-Mentoring, coaching, community outreach
